2) Removing the transmission pan on these is a pain. It involves loosening motor mounts, jacking up on motor and removing exhaust. I have found on LR3 and RRS, it is easier to purchase a BMW X5 metal pan, gasket, bolts and filter and just breaking the old pan and filter off. The Mechatronics is bolted in with about 10 Torx bolts.

Remove the cup holder and the drip tray underneath. Unplug the the connector from the back of the park brake switch. Prise out the rubber cup in front of the park brake switch with a trim tool or teaspoon, undo the torx fastener, and slide the switch forwards up and out. I pulled the 30 amp Park Brake fuse before I did it.

Transmission control module code: U0101. Along with the traction and a message saying gearbox fault. The gear wouldnât shift up, was stuck at 45km. Left the car few days before taking it in to the mechanic. On the day of taking it in, all lights were off. Mechanic said couldnât scan any major problems that needed to be fixed.
